Louis Rogich, 96, Hibbing, died Monday, November 21, 2005, in his home. He was born November 9, 1909, to Tony and Matilda Rogich in French Location, Hibbing, and he was a lifetime resident of Hibbing.

He was a veteran of World War II in the European Theater, taking part in the Normandy Invasion. He retired from Butler Brothers, M.A. Hanna and National Steel Company after 30 years of service.

He was a member of the Hibbing Catholic Community, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8510, the Loyal Order of the Moose, 1510, Community Senior Citizen Center, Hibbing, and the First Settlers Association.

Louis is survived by his nephew, Barry (Cheryl) Rogich; stepsons: Fred (Grace) Zbacnik, and Richard (Islma) Zbacnik Sr.; stepdaughters: Patricia (John) Miller, and Frances Champa; their respective children and grandchildren; half-brother Joseph M. Mrkonjich Jr.; half-sisters: Mary Branham, and Zorka Fletcher; six nieces and seven nephews; grandsons: Dr. Thomas Loo, and David Loo; their children: Dana, Christopher, Jason, Jonathan, Tricia and Michaela; their respective spouses and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Rogich; two brothers, Tony Rogich in 1910, and Michael Rogich.
