Son of Jemima Dixon. Thomas is mentioned in her will along with the following siblings: Amanda Palmer, Mary Kinney, William Wilson, James, Margaret & Achillis. Two nieces are also mentioned Mary McEndice (sp?) daughter of Amanda Palmer, & Louisa Scheffey (sp?), daughter of Mary Kinney.

He died at the home of his niece, Anna Louisa Kinney, AKA Mrs. George W. Hollinger. George was the son of Henry & Araminta Hollinger. Anna Louisa & George Hollinger married on 2 Nov 1871. Araminta Hollinger owned Lot 3.

Conflicting records: His gravestone shows birth year as 1828. The newspaper articles concerning his death states he is 88, and his burial permit states he is 87y, 8m, 21d in 1912 which would make his birth year 1824. Census record age varies. Not sure which is correct.

Thomas was buried in southern section of Peninsula Cemetery in Lot 4 called the "Colored People Section" in the Lot Owner Ledger.

Located off Rock Point Road in the section of Peninsula that was cut in half for the I-70 interstate/tunnel project in 1964. He purchased the lot on 28 May 1868.
