The funeral will be held at noon Wednesday, July 11, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3500 W. 18th Ave., for Delta Arlene Sanderson of Eugene, who died July 7 of age-related causes. She was 80. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
She was born June 28, 1927, in Moab, Utah, to Laurance and Anna (Small) Johnson. She married Torry Sanderson on Dec. 10, 1946. He died Nov. 13, 1977.
She graduated from the University of Oregon with a master's degree in 1966. She worked as an English professor at Lane Community College for 27 years.
Survivors include two sons, Kent of La Pine and Larry of Eugene; a daughter, Rita Laine of Renton, Wash.; three siblings, Laura Ross of Orem, Utah, Dorothy Perkins of Price, Utah, and Linn Johnson of Moab; and six grandchildren.
Entombment will be at Rest-Haven Memorial Park in Eugene.
