Eula Glee Funkhouser Kasper, age 95 of Frederick, MD, died on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center in Frederick, MD. Ms. Kasper was born on November 3, 1923 in Hardy County, WV and was a daughter of the late Winfield Stevenson Funkhouser and Nora Park Funkhouser. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Kasper in 2001; three sisters; and three brothers.

Mrs. Kasper is survived by her daughters, Linda K. Ransom (Richard) of Apex, NC and Lois K. Donlin (Tom) of Boyds, MD; two sisters, Mazie Plummer of McLean, VA and Nina McDonald of Winchester, VA; two grandchildren, Meredith Hiller (Mark) and Michael Ransom (Laura); and four great-grandchildren, Henry Hiller, Natalie Hiller, Ava Ransom, and Norah Hiller.

Eula was a school teacher and member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Silver Spring, MD.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Elmore Funeral Home in Moorefield, WV. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Bean Settlement, WV with Senior Pastor of St. Luke’s, the Reverend Connie Miller and Pastor Cheryl George officiating. Interment will follow in the Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Bean Settlement, WV.

Memorial Donations may be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church, 1590 North River Road, Baker, WV 26801 or the St. Luke Lutheran Church, Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
