Patricia J. “Patty” Powers, 92, of Winamac, IN, passed away at 11:15 PM on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Culver, IN. She was born on February 20, 1927 in Winamac to the late Daniel S. and Martha (Hood) White. She graduated from Star City High School in 1945. On November 27, 1948, Patty married Thomas R. Powers. He passed away on February 13, 1995. Patty worked as a secretary for many years at Rice Corporation and Gast & Shurn. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.
Patricia is survived by two sons; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son. David Powers; three siblings, Richard White, Don White and Mary Planck; and one nephew, Douglas White.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Winamac, IN with Rev. Jeffery Martin officiating.
