Oak Park Oak Leaves, Illinois - October 30, 1915
Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie R. McAlpine were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Darrow, 532 North Oak Park avenue, last Saturday afternoon. Mrs. McAlpine was for many years a prominent resident of Milwaukee. She was born in Tonawanda, N. Y., August 12, 1844, in 1866 was married to James McAlpine and went to Milwaukee, which had always been their home. Mrs. McAlpine is survived by a son, James Kenneth McAlpine, and a daughter, Mrs. Jeannette M. Darrow, and two grandchildren, Virginia and Kenneth McAlpine Darrow. Since the death of her husband five years ago, Mrs. McAlpine had spent much time with her daughter and it was there after more than a year of suffering that the end came peacefully last week Thursday.
