Jackie Leo Barnes

Was born April 21st, 1947 to Max and Margaret Barnes in Humansville, Mo.

He graduated from Stockton High School in 1966. He then went on to join the Army and served in Korea during the Vietnam War.

Jack returned home and married Patsy Fast ( Ozkal ) on May 24th, 1968. Of that marriage, they were blessed with 2 children Aaron and Marsha, and 4 foster children Rose (Missy) Arlint, Patty Milligan, Carolyn (Carrie) Myers, and Kathy Graham.

Jack worked for the State Hospital in Nevada, Mo. From where he retired. He was well known around his community as the go-to man. He served as Mayor of Walker, Mo., a firefighter and a valued member of the fireboard from 1995- 2019.

He was well known for his love for hunting and fishing. He held numerous fish fries for family and friends. Jack loved the Holidays. He would have BBQ"s for the 4th of July, Weenie roasts for Halloween and card games for the New Year where everyone was welcome.

Jack was a member of The Old Union Missionary Baptist Church where he served as Deacon until he was unable to attend.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Max and Margaret Barnes, His Aunt Bernice Root and his foster grandson Scott Arlint.

He is survived by his son Aaron Barnes and wife Lori of Wildwood, Mo. His daughter Marsha Barnes of Walker, Mo., Rose Arlint and significant other Tom of West Plains, Mo., Carolyn Myers and husband Roy of ElDorada Springs, Mo., Patty Milligan and significant other George of Nevada, Mo., Kathy Graham and husband Kent of Stockton, Mo., Grandchildren Blake and Brayden Barnes, foster grandchildren Jason Arlint and Kendra Gilleylan, great-grandchildren Jocelynn Arlint, Preston Collins, Zanr Cole, Jeffrey Arlint and Matthew Arlint, His brother Jerry and wife Jacquee of Dadeville, Mo, his sister Kristi Moore of Stover, Mo., and many nieces, nephews and other people he took in as a family.

Funeral services will be held October 18th at 10:00 am at the Bland Brumback Funeral Home followed by graveside service at Old Union Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Stockton, Mo.
