Jean Harrison, 87, of Palmyra, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019, in her home, in Palmyra, MO.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 15, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palmyra, MO. Father Basil Eruo and Father Kelechi Uzuegbu will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Palmyra.

Visitation will be from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, Monday October 14, followed by a Rosary at 7:00PM at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, MO.

Jean was born June 26, 1932 to Daniel H and Nellie Himmell Begley in rural Marion County.

Jean was married to Norman C Harrison on October 27, 1951 in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1994.

Survivors include her children, Kathy (Craig) Bent of Palmyra, MO, Cheryl Hirner of Palmyra, MO, Sandy ( Randy) Rohleder of Elizabeth, CO, Bill (Debbie) Harrison of Arvada, CO; grandchildren, Jennifer Hirner Neeley (Eric) and children Audrey and Corbin of Aurora, CO, Mary Hirner Smith (Dustin) and children Josie and Olivia of Palmyra, MO, Amanda Hirner and son Owen of Palmyra, MO, Lindsey Bent of Palmyra, MO, Sarah Meintzer and her children Steven Dominico, Alex Dominico and Austin Judish of Buena Vista, CO; granddaughter Emily Harrison of Arvada, CO; very special longtime companion Bill Huffman, sister; Elsie Cates of Winterset, IA.

Jean was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, son Greg Harrison, son in-law Mike Hirner, siblings; Harvey Begley, Harold Begley, Helen Miller, Ray Begley, Ruth Sexton, Rosalie Boschert, Marjorie Wilson, Mary McPike, and Mildred Hoenes.

Jean was a 1950 graduate of Palmyra High School. She worked at Golden Eagle Distributing in Hannibal until her retirement in 2007.

Having such a happy fun loving personality Jean had many hobbies and activities that she enjoyed. She sang with the Flower City Belles, liked Big band and Jazz music. At home she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing cards, board games with family and friends, singing, dancing and making wine. She loved her years living in Colorado and always loved to go back and visit. Jean was a member of the Mildred Briscoe Circle of Kings Daughters.

Jean attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palmyra, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation For Childhood Cancer.
