Mary Frances Mc Pike, 88, of Palmyra, Missouri, passed away Friday at Maple Lawn Nursing Home. She was born October 5, 1926 in Marion County, Missouri to Daniel and Nellie Himmell Begley. Mary married Dudley L. Mc Pike August 19, 1951 at First Baptist Church Parsonage in Palmyra.

Mary is Survived by her husband, Dudley, daughters: Mary Lynne ( Dale) Jones of Palmyra; Rena ( Ashley) Augspurg of Palmyra; Joella ( Terry) Dryden of Hannibal; sons: Mark ( Tammy) Mc Pike of Palmyra; Joseph ( Dawn) Mc Pike of White Oak, Tx.; sisters: Ruth Sexton of Palmyra; Jean Harrison of Palmyra; Elsie Cates of Winterset, Ia.; grandchildren; Lance Jones of Quincy; Mandi Crane and Matthew Jones of Palmyra; April Bryan of Columbia, Mo.; Jessie Dryden of Hannibal; Shala Dryden of Chicago, Il.; Zachary Mc Pike of Palmyra; Zarah Denbow of Ozark, Mo.; Zack and Christopher Mc Pike of White Hall, Tx.; Benjamin Mc Pike of Avoca, Mi.; Bobby Joe Mc Pike of Murfreesboro, Tn.; step-grandchildren; Kasey Hess and Memory Bradshaw of Palmyra, 9 great grandchildren and 9 step-great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Harvey, Harold, and Ray Begley, sisters, Helen Miller, Marjorie Wilson, Mildred Hoenes, and Rosalie Boschert.

She was a graduate of Palmyra High School. Mary was the secretary at Palmyra Elementary School from 1964 until 1973. She was also a grandmother at head start for many years. But most of all, she was a homemaker and a mother and her family was her most prized accomplishment. She loved to cook, garden, quilt, knit and crochet. She was faithful in the nursery and children departments at her church for numerous years. her faith was unwavering, and she was a devout member of Mission Hill Baptist Church upon her death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A M Monday at Mission Hill Baptist Church in Palmyra . Pastor Kent Lewis will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Palmyra, Missouri. Visitation will be from 4 to 6:00 P. M. Sunday at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Mission Hill Baptist Church Building Fund .

Mary's grandchildren will serve as casket Bearers.
