Albon "Red" Schmidt, Age 83, of Bismarck passed away October 8, 2019. A Funeral Service will be held Monday, October 14, 11:00 AM, at Parkway Funeral Service 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck with Rev. Perry Schnabel officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held on Monday, October 14, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
He was born to Walter and Allie Schmidt in Elgin, ND on August 4, 1936. Albon graduated from Bismarck High School in 1955 and in 1958 he joined the ND National Guard where he belonged for 9 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Marjorie Schmidt and Dorothy Wittig; his brother-in-law George Caussyn, nephew James “Jimmy” Wittig and his great-nephew Lucas Rainforth.
