Mary L. Dillard, 90, of Waynesboro, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, October 6, 2019.

She was born July 25, 1929 in Nelson County.

Mary was a member of Union Baptist Church of Avon where she served on the Usher Board and was a member of the Church Choir and the CDDs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Dillard and four children, Gloria, William, Edward and Barbara.

She is survived by her children, Earsline (James) Carter, and Donald, Allan and Michael Dillard; one brother; five sisters; one brother-in-law; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 11, 2019, at Union Baptist Church, 783 Avon Road, Afton 22920, conducted by Pastor B. J. Coleman, with Eulogy by The Rev. Phillip A. Carter. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2019, at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville and other times at Shenithia Carter’s home.
