Patricia A. Morrison, 79, of New Boston, died Friday, August 14, 2009, at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, Illinois. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at Eliza Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2009, at Dennison Funeral Home in Aledo, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Church at Eliza Creek Cemetery. She was born June 9, 1930, in New Boston, the daughter of Victor and Ina Marie Andress Irwin. She married Richard Short Morrison on July 16, 1948, in New Boston Township. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2005. She and her husband were engaged in farming in the New Boston area all their married lives. After retiring from farming, they enjoyed spending time in Branson, Missouri. She enjoyed card club, bowling and in her later years, quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Dwaine Irwin.
