Funeral services for Victor Irwin, 66, of route 1, New Boston, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Eliza Community Church. Rev. John Keller will officiate. Burial will be in Eliza Creek cemetery under direction of the Geo. M. Wittich Funeral Home.
Visitation began at 3 p.m. today at the Irwin family home and will continue until service time Saturday when the body will be taken to the church.
Mr. Irwin died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday at Muscatine General Hospital.
A life resident of Eliza Township, Victor Irwin was born May 6, 1906, a son of Edgar H. and Jennie McDonald Irwin. He married Marie Andress on Dec. 22, 1926 at Aledo.
Mr. Irwin was a member of the Eliza Community Church, the Muscatine Elks Lodge, Joy Lodge 946 A. F. and A.M., Joy Lions Club, Moline Consistory and the Mohammed Shrine of Peoria.
He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marie Irwin, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Richard T. (Pat) Morrison, New Boston; two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Bessie) Shires, Moline and Mrs. Edgar (Gladys) Muchow, route 1, Muscatine; four brothers, Clyde E. of New Boston; Paul J. and Glen M. both of route 1, Muscatine and A. Eugene of Reynolds; also nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, 1 brother and two sisters.
