Ethel M. Campbell was born on October 25, 1919, in Columbus Junction, Iowa, the daughter of Hugh and Caroline (Leffler) Boyd. In 1936 she married John Verrips, he preceded her in death in 1950. She later married Raymond Campbell in 1976. Ethel attended country schools and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and cleaning, flowers and making bread.
Ethel will be deeply missed by her children, Edwin (Flo) Verrips of Conesville, Elaine Johnson of Wapello and Leah (Ward) Crumly of Grandview; 12 grandchildren, Edwin Verrips Jr., Terry Verrips, Krista Welcher, Lorie Tullar, Steven Verrips, Cher Reighard, Kermit Peterson, Bill Peterson, Gary Crumly, Kyle Crumly and Amanda Crumly.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; grandson, Harry O'Connor; one great-grandchild and six brothers and sisters.
