Louise Tyson Spoon Garrett

Louise Tyson Spoon Garrett, 92, of Barnesville, formerly of Griffin, widow of Joe Garrett, died Friday, October 4, 2019 at Heritage Inn Barnesville.
Born in Experiment, May 13, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Frank J. and Maggie Johnson Tyson.
She was retired from Atlanta Wire after many years of service and was formerly a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Vaughn.
Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by her first husband, Clay Spoon; a son, Richard Spoon; and four brothers, Norman, F.J., Linwood and J.R. Tyson.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Spoon; and step-daughter, Barbara King, both of Milner; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12 Noon at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:30 until 11:30 AM at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Road, Griffin is in charge of arrangements.
