Timothy Lane Beck, age 60, passed away on Monday, September 30th, 2019 in the KPC Promise Hospital of Salt Lake City. His funeral service will be held Friday, October 4th, 2019 at 11:00am at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, in Millcreek, Utah; where friends and family can visit 9:30-10:30am prior to the service. The interment will follow at 2:00pm at the Midway Cemetery in Midway, Utah. Following the services there will be a luncheon for family and friends.

Tim was born July 3, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah and grew up in Holladay, Utah. He was an Eagle Scout recipient before graduating from Olympus High School in 1977. After high school he served as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New Zealand Wellington mission. Tim was a deeply spiritual man whose faith and testimony set a strong example for those around him and helped pave the way for his children to later serve as full-time missionaries for the LDS church. Tim went on to receive his Bachelors of Science in Mass Communications from the University of Utah in 1996.

Tim had a successful career in roofing, first as a roofer with his father Paul and older brother Kelly, and then later as a roof consultant working with Roof Spec, Inc. Tim later opened his own roof consulting business, RidgeLine Roof Consulting, which he successfully ran for over a decade and through which he gave his daughter her first job. Tim took great pride in his family life and dedicated much of his time and resources to the betterment of his children. He raised them to be faithful "Fighting Utes" (University of Utah fans), much to the chagrin of his mother Sammie, a dedicated BYU Cougar supporter. Tim enjoyed fishing, hunting, cinematic trivia, and University of Utah football. He was known for his rough and tough outward persona but, for those who knew him, he was a kind and generous man who was fiercely loyal to those he called friend or family.

Tim is survived by his loving children Kimberly Beck and Paul Beck as well as his older siblings Robyn Brown, Kelly Beck, and Nancy Rounds.
