Grand Duchess of Russia. She was the fifth (second youngest) daughter and seventh child of Emperor Paul I of Russia and his empress consort, Sophie Dorothea of Württemberg. She was the only one of her parent's ten children that did not live to adulthood, dying as a result of a persistent fever that lasted over the course of many weeks.
