She was born April 9, 1929 to William and Elsie Frieders, Marshfield WI. Florence graduated from Stratford High School in 1948.
Florence reconnected with her Prom King, Bill Reed through letters while he was in Korea.
They married on May 3, 1954 in there home town of Stratford.
Florence and Bill made many moves around Wisconsin. Together they made Wausau, Antigo, Manitowoc home before finally settling in Berlin and raising their family. She worked for many years at Sand-Knit, Rick’s Shoe Store, and Gibson Greeting Cards.
Florence was active in the St. Stanislaus and All Saints Parishes. She enjoyed taking Holy Communion to friends.
Florence attended the Jesuit Retreat House for over 40 years and inspired many others to attend.
She instilled the love of God to family, friends and to her children and grandchildren by simply living her faith.
Florence loved to read, play Sheepshead, and Cribbage. She also loved to watch or listen to her Milwaukee Brewers, many times while ironing the family’s laundry.
Florence is survived by, Children: Jane (Mike) Sarych of Hudson, Janice (Jeffrey) Langenhorst of Green Bay, Julie (David) Stobbe of Town of Rushford, Paul (Barbara) Reed of Oshkosh, JeAnn (Chad) Jensen of Green Bay, Joy (Rick) Petit of Green Bay.
Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, Brothers; Jim and William Frieders. Florence was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, her sisters Germaine, Helen, Shirley, son-in-law Gary, and Great Granddaughter Rachel.
A special thank you to the staff of Country Villa Assisted Living and Generation Hospice. A memorial has been established for the Jesuit Retreat House of Oshkosh.
