Turcot, Vivian Esther (nee Verplank) 90, of Northfield, IL, devoted wife of the late Newton Turcot, passed away December 21, 2014. She was born April 25, 1924 to Lucille and Albert Verplank, of Hobart, IN. A 1945 graduate of Purdue University she worked at Marshall Field & Co. until she met the love of her life and moved to Eaton St. in Northfield for 57 years. Vivian was a kind and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved to laugh and always put others ahead of herself. After her family was grown she worked as a special education teacher at New Trier High School for over 20 years. Vivian was an active member of Northfield Community Church and the PEO Sisterhood. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Chuck) Leve; son Keith (Heidi) Turcot; grandchildren, Josh and Michael Leve, Lindsay Woloshin, Abby Alexiades, and Ellie Glazer, and sister, Marilyn Stephans. Service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631. Arrangements by N.H.
