John J. Schumacher, 81, Ashley, died Jan. 31, 1998, in a Fargo hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Ashley. Burial will be in Ashley City Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; six daughters, Lucille Raile and Anna Feist, both of Bismarck, Rose Hulm, Strasburg, Alice Baumann, Fargo, and Marlene Staebner and Sharon Paulson, both of West Fargo; six sons, Leo, Linton, Alvin, West Fargo, Richard, Venturia, Alfred Zeeland, Antone, Kindred, and Gilbert, Davenport; three sisters, Mary Vetter, Edgeley, Julia Gross, Napoleon, and Margaret Geffre, Bismarck.
