Some sources, including family genealogical records and other family tree owners, show birth in 1887. However, birth in 1881 is supported by the 1910, 1920 and 1930 U.S. Censuses, the below death notice indicating she was 57 at the time of her death, and her headstone.

Mrs. Oda Moomaw Dies in McFarland
Mrs. Oda Moomaw, 57, died last night at her home in McFarland after an illness of three years. The body is in the Delano Mortuary pending funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Moomaw is survived by her husband, Charles R. Moomaw; four daughters, Ethel Moomaw, McFarland; Mrs. Veda Aeschbacher, Tulare; Mrs. Eunice Brightbill, Chicago; and Mrs. Myrtle Baldwin, McPherson, Kan.

Services Await Sister's Arrival
McFARLAND, Dec. 15. --- Funeral services for Mrs. Oda Moomaw, prominent pioneer resident of McFarland, are being delayed pending the arrival of her two daughters, Mrs. Marlin Brightbill, of Chicago, and Mrs. Arthur Baldwin of McPherson, Kans., who accompanied by their husbands are expected to arrive here the latter part of this week. Her husband, C. R. Moomaw and their two daughters, Miss Ethel, of this place, and Mrs. Carrol Aeschbacher and Mr. Aeschbacher, of Tulare, were at her bedside when death came. Also a sister, Mrs. Hattie Deardorf, of Waterford.
Mrs. Moomaw, 57, a native of Missouri, had been a resident of McFarland community for more than 25 years.
For the past three years Mrs. Moomaw had been in very poor health, due to asthma which was aggravated by heart trouble.
Mrs. Moomaw passed away Monday night, December 12 at 10:20 o'clock. Her body lies at the Delano mortuary. Other surviving members of her family besides those already named include her mother, Mrs. Sarah Garvey, of Modesto; a sister, Mrs. Edith Sencinbaugh, of Empire; six brothers, Charles Garvey, of North Dakota; Delmer Garvey, Empire; Roy Garvey, Fresno; Lloyd Garvey, of Empire; Paul Garvey, Pasadena, and Dr. Lee Garvey, of San Pedro.

Moomaw Services Slated Tomorrow
McFARLAND, Dec. 17. --- Funeral sevices for Mrs. Oda Moomaw will be held here Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Church of the Brethren. The Reverend John I. Coffman, pastor of the local church, will preside, assisted by Elder Andrew Blickenstaff. Interment will be held at La Verne on Monday.
Music will be furnished by the male quartet of the church including Clarence Bowman, K. L. Steinberger, Graden Bowman and Ben Lehman.
Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Brightbill of Chicago and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Baldwin of McPherson, Kan., arrived here Friday morning. Another son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Aeschbacher, of Tulare, are also here. Mrs. Moomaw's brother, Charles Garvey, is expected to arrive today from North Dakota.
