Alfred Rollin Hake was the son of Edward Hake and Bertha Lange. His maternal grandparents were August Carl Frederick Lange and Pauline Weber. His paternal grandparents were Daniel Hake Jr. and Caroline Hobbler.

Alfred married Jane R. "Jennie" Rohrer on 27 February 1914, in Chicago. Jane was the daughter of Samuel and Jennie Currey Rohrer. Jane was born on 16 March 1892, in Evanston, Cook County, Illinois. She died on 3 January 1977, in Ft. Atkinson.

In 1930, Alfred, Jennie and their two daughters are living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Alfred is a farmer. He retired in 1958, from the Uncle Josh Bait Company.

FT. ATKINSON - Alfred R.Hake, 79, Rt. 3 Ft. Atkinson, died Saturday (May 10, 1969) after an apparent heart attack while working in a garden. Mr. Hake, a native of the Town of Jefferson, was employed by the Uncle Josh Bait Co., Ft. Atkinson, before retiring in 1958. He was a member of Faith Community Church. Mr. Hake and his wife, Jennie, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 27, 1964.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Carroll Lein, Rockdale; a brother William, of Jefferson, a sister Mrs. William Wuther, Ft. Atkinson; five grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren."
