This community was again saddened by the death of Lon Leon Cavaness, little 9-year old boy of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Cavaness. Lonnie became sick Thursday, August 31, but was not pronounced serious until Sunday. He was taken to the Rolla Hospital Monday, where an operation was
performed, which resulted in the finding of a bursted appendix. He died soon after the operation. The parents and sister have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
