Ethel Lorene Rauscher age 86, was born August 17, 1927 in Houston, MO to Ed and Mattie (Keeney) Cavaness. She passed away June 9, 2014 at the Hospice & de Greeff Hospice House, St. Louis, MO.
She married Ellis Gordon Rauscher on March 26, 1948 in Rolla, MO. They had two daughters, Loretta and Mary.
Lorene was a member of Central Baptist Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Cavaness, her mother and step-father, Mattie and Hobart Tunnell, her husband, Ellis Rauscher, her daughter, Loretta Selby, two brothers, Herbert and Lonnie Cavaness, her sister, Josephine Cavaness, her grandson's wife, Michelle Selby and a great-grandson, Andrew Blumenkemper.
Lorene had many hobbies and things she loved to do, they include; flower and vegetable gardening, crocheting, sewing, cooking (where all was welcome), quilting, embroidery, singing in the choir, playing the piano and listening to bluegrass and gospel music.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Kelly and husband, Lloyd of St. Louis, MO, four grandchildren; Darrell and Kevin Selby, Anita Holsapple and Christopher Kelly, eight great-grandchildren; Tyler, Brooke and Aaron Selby, Misty Smith, Bradley and Steven Blumenkemper and Dylon and Brandon Kelly and four great great-grandchildren.
Lorene will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
