BAKER, Elzora "Pat" - Of Flint, age 90, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Kith Haven Nursing Home. Elzora was born in Hanceville, Alabama, the daughter of the late Leonard and Sarah Whaley. She married Benjamin Baker in 1937, moving to Michigan in 1950. She was employed at the Soos Department Store in Flint, Michigan for 17 years retiring in 1972. She was a member of Faith United General Baptist Church and for several years served as the Sunday School Secretary. Surviving by sons, Arlon and wife Carolyn Baker of Hanceville, Alabama and Jack and wife Kathy Baker of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters, Norma and husband Dayron Jones of Flint, Lorene and husband Mel Landers of Hernando, Fl, Lois and husband Jim Lawrence of Swartz Creek, Judi and husband Fred Matusik of Three Rivers, Michigan; sister, Grace Hendrix of Flint, MI; brother, Clyde Whaley of Hanceville, AL.; 10 Grandchildren; 22 Great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Addison Baker, in 1979; grandson, Jeffery Baker, in 1972; her parents, Leonard and Sarah Whaley; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
