Cynthia Ann McCann, 66, of Bunker Hill died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility, Kearneysville.

Born Sept. 12, 1953 in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde M. Luckett and Anna Corrine (Cole) Luckett.

She was a lifelong caretaker. She spent the majority of her life caring for loved ones. Cindy will be remembered by family and friends as an organizer, and was always willing to lend a hand. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her knew that she told it like it was. Cynthia “Cindy” McCann, became a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Bunker Hill, in the year of 2009. During her service for the Lord while at Mt. Tabor, she served on the Usher Board, Kitchen Committee, Head of the Kitchen Committee and Custodial Staff. Cindy served faithfully with a joyful heart in capacity until her health no longer allowed her to do so. Loved by all she is truly missed and will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her husband, Butch McCann of Hagerstown, Maryland; daughter, Taunya E. Luckett, of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, Tashia Nelson, Phillip “PJ” Kidrick, Jr., Vencent Nelson, Jr and Aaliyah Gray; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley McDonald, of Bunker Hill, Rosella Rowley, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; brothers, John Wayne Luckett and Clyde Luckett, Jr., both of Charles Town and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Delores Luckett and Carol Luckett.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019 at Wainwright Baptist Church (413 West Avis Street), Charles Town with Elder John Price officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens, Martinsburg. Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430. Arrangements are by the Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town.
