Donna Catherine Costner Horne, 67, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Bobby Andrew Costner and Ruth Abernathy Costner Tevepaugh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Scott Kennedy.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Ronald Dale Horne, her children, Lisa Cook (Dwayne), Richard Bolton (Kim), Shannon Matera (Joseph), Heather Mishoe (Russell) and Elizabeth Horne (Mike); her siblings, Patsy McCumbee, Melinda Conner (Lester), Doris Allen (Donald), Micheal Graham, Andy Costner and Tony Tevepaugh; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her aunt, Dalphia Carr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Horne will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Life of Faith Fellowship, Gastonia with Pastor Chris DiCiaccio and Pastor Travis Mull officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the church. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Woodlawn Funeral Home of Mount Holly is serving the family.
