G.B. Greene, age 80, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native was born March 23, 1939 and passed away September 22, 2019 at his residence following a sudden illness.
He was the owner of Womack Printing Company, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Westwood Church of Christ, and son of the late George C. and Rachel Neal Greene. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Alton, Johnny and Kenneth Greene, and sisters Wilma Pistole and Melba Griffith.
Mr. Greene was married to Suzi Boyd Greene, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons and daughter-in-law G.B. "Chip" Greene Jr. of Nashville, TN and Fernando and Terra Greene of Murfreesboro, TN; Grandson Oliver Harrison Greene of Murfreesboro, TN, G.B. was Ollie's "Papa"; brother and sister-in-law Fred and Faye Greene of McMinnville, TN; sisters and brother-in-law Hannah Davis of McMinnville, TN; Joyce Pirtle of McMinnville, TN; Linda and Jerry Davenport of McMinnville, TN; and Kaye Worzek of McMinnville, TN. Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Central Church of Christ with James Vandiver officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at High's.
Donations may be made to F.C. Boyd St. Christian School of a charity of your choice.
Military grave rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
