Mr. Elbert "Teasie" Lee Johnson, Sr., 83, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM on Monday, September 23, 2019 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville with Rev. Larry Glover officiating.
Interment will follow in Cooperville Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 22, 2016 from 4 PM until 6 PM.
Mr. Johnson was a native of Sparta and had spent many years in Milledgeville. He was the son of the late Alf Johnson and Sallie Batchelor Johnson, and preceded in death by his siblings, Mollie Pulliam, Esther Armor and John Johnson.
He enjoyed reading the bible and playing guitar, was a member of Cooperville Baptist Church and a veteran of National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Yarbrough Johnson; sons, Elbert Lee Johnson, Jr. (Cathy), George Goodwin Johnson (Judy), Jeffrey William Johnson (Susan); and grandchildren, Jeffrey Johnson, Jr. and Devin Johnson, Christopher Johnson and Crystal Johnson;
