Survivors include two step-sons, Larry Tucker and J.W. Tucker, both of Milledgeville; a stepdaughter , Mrs. Kathie Johnson of Milledgeville; two sisters, Mrs. Ester Sellers and Mrs. Molly Pulliam, both of Milledgeville; and two brothers, Elbert Johnson and John A. Johnson, both of Milledgeville.
Martin Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Homer Johnson Rt. 3, Milledgeville man was killed in a two-vehicle collision on the Linton Road about 11 miles south of SpartaTuesday night.
Trooper Larry Wilson of the State Patrol identified the victim as Homer Johnson, 68, of Rt.3, Milledgeville.
Mr. Johnson was the driver of an auto traveling east on the Linton Road, Wilson noted in his report. He was dead on arrival at Baldwin County Hospital.
Mr. Johnson's auto was struck in the left side by an auto driven by William H. Cook of Rt. 1, Sandersville, according
to Trooper Wilson's report. The Cook vehicle was traveling south on County Road 1560 and apparently failed to stop at the intersection.
Two passengers in the Johnson vehicle were injured. They were identified as Willie J. Butts and Jessie Warren, both of Rt. 3, Milledgeville. Both were taken to Baldwin County Hospital for treatment.
Damage to both vehivles was estimated at $3.200.
The fatality was the first this year in Hancock County.
