Karen Ann Wood, 69, of Angleton, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019. She is preceded in death by her father, James Edward Redford and her sister, Mary Tschacher. Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Martha Faye Redford; step-mother, Debbie Redford; children: Melissa Reeves, Chris Riddle and wife, Amber, Carley Day and husband, Stephen, and Carrie Phelps; brother, James Redford; sisters: Martha Redford and husband, Sam Drew and Linda Turner and husband, Tom; brother-in-law, Bob Tschacher; grandchildren: Kayla Riddle, Andrea Todd and husband, Hunt, Brantley Riddle, Caitlyn Broussard, Makenzie Riddle, Faith Riddle, Everett Day, Olivia Phelps, Mason Phelps, Julia Hart, and Aiden Phelps; great grandchildren: Alexia Lewis, Logan Lewis, and Anthony Edwards; and a host of other family and dear friends.
Karen was born on September 26, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas. She liked birds, especially her Macaws, and enjoyed going fishing whenever she got the chance. She was strong willed and gave her all in everything she did, including loving her family. Affectionately known as “Granny Goo Goo”, Karen loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren more than anything. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation and service for Karen will take place at Life Foursquare Church, 501 Karankawa, Angleton, Texas 77515, on Friday, September 20, 2019. The visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and continue until service time at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
