Mrs. Anita Foster, a native of Richmond, Alabama, left this world to be with the Lord on September 12, 2019.

She was born a twin on July 11, 1935, to Jesse Andrews and Edna Boxdale Andrews in Richmond, Alabama.

She was a resident of Dayton, Ohio for forty-two years, and finally settled in San Marcos, Texas. Mrs. Foster received her early education from the Manuel Street Training School in Dallas County, Alabama. At an early age, Anita became a disciple of Christ and kept him as the head of her life. She started her work career as a social worker with Model Cities Inc. in Dayton, Ohio. She then worked for Stouffer's Hotels until she retired as a supervisor over housekeeping. After retiring, she eventually returned to work for the Dayton Public School System as a food service worker, where she enjoyed serving and talking to students.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to Conelious Foster, Sr. on July 27, 1960 at Wilmer, Mobile County, Alabama. To this union they had six children.

Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Andrews; brothers, Jesse, Percy, Paul; sisters, Beatrice Andrews Moultrie, Ola Mae Andrews, Dorothy Andrews Moultrie, Juanita Moultrie and multiple siblings that passed at birth, and her beloved granddaughter, Carlesia Blackshear.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories; her brother Chester Andrews; sisters, Freddie Sims, Georgia Bush, Thelma Ross; her two sons, Cornelious Foster Jr. and Jasper Earl Foster and four daughters, Cynthia Moore, Shirley Rivers and husband Ronnie, Lisa Blackshear and husband Carl, and Karen Wood and husband Allen. Anita also leaves behind a number of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, many family and friends.

Simply every individual who encountered Mrs. Foster would agree, that she was one of the kindest, sweetest, and humblest people they'd had the pleasure to know.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 28th at First Baptist Church of San Marcos, 420 S. Mitchell Street, San Marcos, Texas.
Anita's family has selected Dr. Barry J. W. "The Shepherd" Franklin, CFSP at A Life Celebration by Franklin of Taylor, Texas to fulfill her final earthly celebration with great excellence.
