Mary Otegui Diehl

Reno - Our beloved mother & grandmother passed away on December 11, 2018.

She was born January 20th, 1927 to Joseph and Evelyn (Young) Otegui in McGill, NV. She was raised in Eureka, NV and had later moved to Reno, where she met and married Darold "Shorty" Diehl, August 14, 1946. They were married for 50 years. Mary was a homemaker and was a foster parent to at least 30 children. She loved to crochet. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, brother Frank and husband Shorty.

She is survived by her children, Carolyn Lindsay (Paul); Don Diehl (Robin); and Gail Archuleta Williams (Rich); and 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Love & Joy Residence for their many years of care. A Celebration of Life is scheduled January 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Walton's Sparks Funerals and Cremations, 1745 Sullivan Lane, Sparks, NV.
