Calvin Allen Meredith

Cal went to his heavenly home on Friday, August 23, 2019 with his family by his side. Born on April 3, 1925 in Colfax, Washington to Hayes Isaac Meredith and Hilma Christine Meredith (Wickander).
Cal joined the Navy in 1943 and served for five years. After WWII, he received his Bachelor's Degree from Washington State University. After a long career in finance, primarily as a mortgage banker, he and Irene enjoyed traveling for a few years. He then returned to work and he eventually retired from the State of California, Employment Development Department at the age of 90.
Cal's wife, Irene Meredith, and his sister, Helen Bernice Lish, predeceased him. He leaves behind son, Greg (Janet), son, Gary (Debbie), daughter, Teresa Salmela (Juha), and daughter, Nikki Crawford. Two grandsons, Austin Crawford (Darian) and Mason Crawford, and four granddaughters, Nichole Meredith, Samantha Chester (Peter), Alexandra Meredith, and Tatijana Crawford. One great-grandson, Andrew Chester. As well, as his sister, Vivien Harvey.
A service is planned for September 9, 2019 at noon at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California.
