Dennis J. McHugh, 67, Appleton, formerly of Mosinee, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center. He was born Nov. 18, 1946, in Wausau, the son of the late Hugh and Irene (Ross) McHugh. He was in the Army National Guard and was employed as a maintenance specialist for the State Highway Department. Denny had a great passion for life. He grew up farming with his family. The things that truly made him happy were spending quality time with family and friends. He always had a great big smile and a big twinkle in his eye, and was a true gentleman and Irishman. He had many hobbies. He loved cooking and entertaining with his party cooker, he enjoyed four-wheeling, hunting, traveling, and he so enjoyed his polka music. "To know him was to love him", his sense of humor was like no other. He was the kindest loving father, friend and grandpa. He will be sadly missed by all. We love you to the moon and back. Survivors include two daughters...
