Wendy Armistead Welch Nashville, TN Wendy Armistead Welch , born June 9, 1950, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of November 28, 2016 at her home in Nashville, TN. Wendy was born and raised in Memphis, TN, where she attended White Station High School. Wendy was an extremely talented pianist. After graduation, she attended the University of Alabama, where she was a piano major, and later attended the Los Angeles School of Court Reporting. She worked as an assistant for Michael Viner and Deborah Raffin in Hollywood, California. In December, 1985, she married musician Bob Welch , a prominent solo artist and former member of Fleetwood Mac. She was Bob's business partner and personally managed Bob's career and music publishing concerns. In 1986, Wendy and Bob relocated to Phoenix, AZ, and in 1992 they moved to Nashville, TN. Wendy is preceded in death by her beloved Bob, and her father, Robert Armistead, whom she adored. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Betty Cartwright of Memphis, TN, several cousins, and friends, and her " Welch 's Warriors" friends on Facebook, who loved her dearly. No services are announced.
