Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on Wednesday, April 17th, 2019. Amelia Mae Walpole (née Yeoman), of Owen Sound, at the age of 97 years. Dearly loved wife for 69 years of the late William G. Walpole (2014). Loving mother of Betty Clark (Ted) of Alberta, Mary Patience, Bill Walpole (Penny) and Tom Walpole, all of Owen Sound. Proud nanny of 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Special auntie of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, John and Clara Yeoman; her daughters, Patty Slater (2012) and Nancy Walpole (2016); her son-in-law, Doug Slater (1997).
A Funeral Service for Millie Walpole was held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 - 14th Street, West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Georgian Bluffs. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6, Ladies Auxiliary will hold a Service at 9:15 a.m. prior to the visitation. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 Poppy Fund or the charity of your choice as an expression of sympathy.
