MARY J. CLAY — KEYSER, WV — Mary Jean Clay, 90, of Keyser, died on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at her residence.

Born on July 9, 1929 in Keyser, she was the daughter of the late George C. and Nellie E. (Likin) McNeill. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Charles W. McNeill and his wife Phyllis.

Jean graduated from Potomac State College and West Virginia University and was a retired 5th grade Teacher at Keyser Elementary School. She was a member of Keyser Church of the Brethren and of the West Virginia Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving are her husband of 68 years, Richard F. "Sonny" Clay; her children, Patricia Ann "Pat" Clay and Scott M. Clay and wife Anna Mae; two grandchildren, Kathyrn Fisher and husband Sam and their children, Elijah, Josiah and Judah Fisher and Morgan Clay and wife Shana and their children, Nathaniel and Andrew Clay. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at the Markwood Funeral Home on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 4-7 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Keyser Church of the Brethren, 152 South Main Street, Keyser on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Sonny Dodds officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to services.

Interment will be held in Potomac Memorial Gardens.
