Vicky was murdered on July 23, 1992, in a murder-for-hire arranged by her 19-year old husband Morrad Ghonim. They had been married just over a year at the time and had a then 6-month old son. It was not until 2016 that Morrad Ghonim was finally brought to justice.
When she was murdered, her last name was Ghonim, and in anything written about her murder, she is always referred to as Vicky Ghonim. Anybody wanting to see if she has a Memorial here on FAG, would of course search for Vicky Ghonim. Nobody would think to search for Maria Zepeda.
