Carrie Knowles Moore, 84, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Carrie was born in Rockingham County to the late James Franklin Knowles and Lillie Wilson Knowles.
She was a member at Oak Grove Baptist Church and retired from Burlington Industries with 39 ½ years of service. She loved spending time in the mountains.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Preston, Joe and Douglas Knowles; sister, Ara Knowles.
She is survived by her husband, John Cecil Moore; son, Darrell Wayne Clark; sisters, Lottie Allen and Lillie Anderson.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Reidlawn Cemetery with Rev. Walter Daves officiating. Memorials may be made to ALSAC/St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
