Son of Thomas Stanton and Emaline Williams. In 1850, he and his parents are in Aurelius, Cayuga County, New York. Calvin came to Barry County Michigan with his father and grandparents by 1860. I do not know where his parents or grandparents are buried. His uncle, Solomon Slater Stanton, is in Banfield Cemetery.
Calvin spent his teen and adult life in Barry County.
Calvin's official death certificate information was provided by his daughter, Lillian. She reported his date of birth as 14 Aug 1848 (this matches censuses).
Calvin's Civil War enlistment has his age as 17 on 23 Aug 1864; so he reported he was born in 1847 at enlistment.
Co G, 8th Michigan Cavalry
The photo show apparently is Calvin T Stanton (1847-1932) and Dewey Stanton. I presume this is Dewey (1898-1952) the grandson of Calvin's 1st cousin, Benjamin Vance Stanton.
