Served with 1st Aviation in the Republic of Vietnam.
My primary field of study is U.S. government, world geography, and history. I was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Southern in 1974 with a major in political science. I hold a master's degree in education with a focus on integrating technology in the classroom. I was certified at The University of Texas to teach high school composite social studies. Walden University has granted me a degree. After my university studies, I was awarded an internship under Governor Jimmy Carter's intern program doing research on Nuclear Power Safety. I worked in the government for about 3 years. I hold a PhD in political science.
I owned a battery business for a number of years and was self-employed.
I am disabled and after 19 years of service with a school district in Texas, I was required to retire because of health issues. My passion was teaching high school social studies.
