Frank C. Spangler Dies Suddenly

Native of Spencer Succumbs At Home After Few Hours Illness Following Stroke

Frank C. Spangler, 58 years old, a son of the late Thomas G. Spangler, died Sunday after a few hours illness at his home in Indianapolis. Mr. Spangler was born in Spencer and spent his early life here, and was graduated from S.H.S. in the class of 1899. Not long after his graduation he was married to Miss Jessie Washburn of Quincy, who survives him. He worked for a time in the Exchange Bank here and later in the Bankers National Bank of Chicago. He became a teller in the American National Bank in Indianapolis in 1904. he was a member of the Masonic fraternity, holding membership in Indianapolis. He was also a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving him are his widow, a son Harold, a daughter, Mrs. Earl Taylor, and a granddaughter, Judith Ann Taylor, all of Indianapolis; a sister Mrs. Hazel Hoard of Superior, Montana, and four brothers, Gail of Indianapolis, Reginald of Superior, Montana, Ronald of Miami, Florida and Rupert of Portsmouth, Ohio.
Funeral services were held in Indianapolis Tuesday morning and the body was brought to Spencer for burial in Riverside Cemetery.
