Ann C. Svatek, age 97, formerly of Reedsville, died on Saturday, January 15, 2011
at Unity Hospice in DePere, Wis.
Ann was born in the Town of Maple Grove on October 29, 1913, daughter of the late
John and Anne (Spatchek) Miller. She attended St.Mary Grade School in Brillion and
graduated from Brillion High School. Ann was united in marriage to Edward Svatek
on May 7, 1941 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brillion with the late Rev. Frank
Svatek officiating. Edward preceded her in death on July 24, 2010. Ann was a member
of Holy Family Parish, Brillion, St. Ann's Christian Women, the American Legion
Auxiliary, the Capitol Civic Center, the Beacon Society of Holy Family Memorial
Medical Center. She enjoyed employment in the kitchen at Reedsville High School,
cooking at Reed-Way Sportsman Club, gardening and crocheting.
Ann is survived by three daughters and three sons-in-law, Audrey and Don Salzbrun
of Green Bay, Jeanne and Jim Einberger of Whitelaw and Inez Schaefer of Phoenix,
Ariz., and Al Bolle of Green Bay; one son, Rick Svatek of Parker, Colo., 16
grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one brother, Alfred Miller of Brillion; a
sister-in-law, Rosema Svatek of Minnesota and many nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter Mary Sue Bolle, three sisters,
seven brothers and in-laws.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 28 at Holy Family Catholic
Church, Brillion. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Matt
Simonar with burial to follow the luncheon at St. Mary's Cemetery, Reedsville.
Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am until the time of mass at 11 am. The
Wieting Funeral Home in Reedsville is assisting the Svatek family with funeral
arrangements.
