Mrs. Judy DeBord Barker, age 72, of Grahn, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday morning, August 28, 2019 at St. Claire Health Care Center in Morehead, Kentucky.
She was born June 17, 1947, in Ironton, Ohio, a daughter of the late John and Ola Phillips DeBord.
Judy was of the Baptist faith and worked for the Carter County Board of Education. She enjoyed going to church, shopping, traveling, playing with her cats and spending time with her family and friends, especially with her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronald Lee Barker; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Teresa Barker of Grahn, Kentucky, and Joseph and Laura Barker of Danville, Kentucky; and two grandsons, William Barker and Jonathan Barker, both of Danville, Kentucky. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2019, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Kentucky. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Olive Hill, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019, and after 9 a.m. on Sunday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
