Death Comes Unexpectedly

Virginia City Man Dies Suddenly When Recovering From Operation

While apparently on the road to complete recovery after an operation in a local hospital, Charles Kohler, aged 37, a hoisting engineer and miller of Virginia City, died suddenly yesterday afternoon.

The young man had been operated on a few days ago and Dr. McKenzie was confident that he speedily would recover.

After lunch yesterday he was seized with a severe vomiting spell and died despite every attention that medical science could give him.

Kohler's father is a well known Virginia City business man. He has been engaged for years in the milling business in which his son also was interested.

Kohler's wife was a Miss Mamie Hanning of Virginia City. She is teaching school at Genoa.

The remains are at the parlors of the Perkins-Gulling Co.
