Adrienne Montalvo-Kaley, 85, of Spring, TX, formerly a long-time resident of Houston, TX, passed peacefully into God’s hands on August 24th, 2019.

Adrienne was born on July 4, 1934 in New York City, New York, and it was then that the “city girl glamour” became a piece of her that she never could shake.

Adrienne married the love of her life and the man of her dreams, Jack Kaley, in 1955. The two soulmates eventually moved their family and settled in Houston in 1974, where they raised their 5 children: Kevin, Ken, Karen, Kathleen, and Keith.

Adrienne was a gifted writer and for many years published a column in 1960 Sun. She stayed exceptionally busy (yet always with class), raising 5 children, and she participated in school activities and involved herself in the Northwest community and Chamber of Commerce.

Adrienne enjoyed entertaining, and a gourmet feast often awaited lucky guests on many occasions. She also loved spending time with her friends and family whom she was completely devoted to, especially her 9 grandchildren.

Adrienne was equally known for her sometimes feisty, yet good, sense of humor, as well as her unrelenting faith in God and family. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her - which were many.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jack Kaley. She is survived by her children: Kevin Kaley; Karen Kaley Frye and her husband Mike Frye; Kathleen Kaley Bicknell and her husband Jim; Kenneth Kaley and his wife Jan; and Keith Kaley. She is also survived by grandchildren: Clinton and Eric Kaley; Matthew, Kaley and Mark Frye; Jason and Joshua Bicknell; and Jack and Brett Kaley.

A celebration of life is being held at Shirley Acres, 217 Woerner Rd., Houston, TX 77090 on Wednesday, Aug. 28th from 6-8 p.m. A private family mass will be held the following day. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to StJude.org.
