Patti was born on October 28, 1949 in Omaha, NE and was raised in Columbus, NE.
She was married on April 27, 1974 to Richard Dyer and after working for 9 years at AT&T in Omaha she had her only daughter and dedicated herself as a full-time mother and homemaker.

She was a kind loving caring person who always put the needs of others before herself . She was gifted with the enlightened spirit of peace, support, and calm whenever she entered a room. And with that strength she was able to be the provider of empathy and understanding when anyone in her family needed this strength.

She was a strong believer in her Catholic faith, which provided her the patience and guidance to handle life’s challenges and its greatest rewards.

Among her many accomplishments she was married for 45 years to her husband, Richard. A mother to her daughter, Stacy, and grandma to her grandson Alec.

She was creative person who loved going to arts and craft fairs, holiday boutiques and even to many Hallmark stores to pick up specific cards for her family and friends. She was a successful chairperson at her parish’s Christmas boutique leading to one of the most successful turnouts for that year.

During the last 7 years of her life she was promoted from mom to grandma and though she was limited in her mobility she was able to spread her caring energy and tenderness to her only grandson, Alec which he will always remember.

Ultimately, she was an example of how a mother should be and will always be remembered as the absolute best one. She was her daughters’ strongest and loudest cheerleader throughout her child and adulthood and a vocal advocate to “never never never give up!”

She was preceded in death by her parents Frances and Sigmund Slovenske.

She is survived by her husband, Richard, daughter Stacy and her son-in-law Kyle Morris, along with her grandson Alec, and Patti’s sister Jane Slovenske.

Since Patti was a Type 1 Diabetes survivor for 53-years, please send in lieu of flowers a memorial donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at JDRF.org
