According to Kellam, Brooks and Kindred families, p.148. Col. William Washington slept in the house of Isaac & Ruth Terrell Brooks. The Grist Mill owned by Isaac ground mill for the soldiers all night and Ruth Terrell Brooks and her servants cooked bread for them.
Same page states: Isaac Brooks is buried at the old Brooks family buring ground, near the John Broks, Sr home, but no stone marks his grave.
