Max Curtis Nicholson, 85, of the 400 block of E. Bayview Blvd., died June 30, 2007, in a local hospital. He was born in North Carolina and had retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant, having served during World War II. Max was a long standing member of Church of the Advent and a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Max and Nannie Nicholson. Max is survived by his wife, Ethel Nicholson; a daughter, Pamela Wade and husband Thomas; a son, Michael Nicholson and wife Pamela; a sister, Alma Prevette; half sister, Chloe Myers and husband Willard; half brother, Harold Nicholson and wife Dot; and two grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Nicholson. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Church of the Advent by the Rev. Father Robert R. Gilman. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
